We’ve all seen the recent stories of parents and caregivers who are (or are believed to be) immigrants being detained and separated from their families. What we often don’t hear about is what happens next: the families left behind are forced to absorb the impact.
In an instant, children lose their primary source of safety and care. Many families have lost their primary source of income. Basic needs like food, housing, transportation, and childcare become uncertain. Kids shouldn’t have to worry about who will take them to school or where their next meal will come from!
My phone has been ringing nonstop with people asking, What can we do?!
This is one thing I know we can do: we can show these families who have been impacted that we haven’t forgotten them and that we CARE by helping provide the essentials they need to get by during this difficult chapter.
But we need to do this together if we are going to make a difference… We’ve got work to do.

And to help ensure we can do the most good possible, the Random Acts Board is matching your donations up to $50,000 — so every dollar you donate will go twice as far to help families in need!
